Typhoon Kompasu to hit S Korea

SEOUL, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- A typhoon is expected to directly hit South Korea, with heavy rains and strong winds forecast for Wednesday night and Thursday, as it moves northward toward Jeju Island on Wednesday.
