5.9-magnitude quake hits Mexico's Islas Marias, no casualties reported

MEXICO CITY, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale jolted the Islas Marias in Mexico's Pacific coast state of Nayarit on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

There is no immediate report of injures or damage, said local authorities.
