Moderate quake hits China, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan border

BEIJING, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- A magnitude-5.6 earthquake hits the border between China, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan Tuesday night, according to the national seismological network of China.

The quake struck at 11:41 p.m. with its epicenter located at 39.5 degrees north latitude and 73.8 degrees east longitude, and at a depth of seven kilometers.
