5,800 lightning strikes seen over Chongqing

A rare winter thunderstorm hit Chongqing in the early morning of Nov. 11.  The thunderstorm lasted for nearly 10 hours and thunder was heard 310 times in total over the nine major urban districts. The thunderstorm was also accompanied by lightning that came out from the sky 5,758 times.
